Enjoy your tunes and answer calls without wires with the Voyager 8200 UC Bluetooth Headset from Plantronics. Boasting up to 20 hours of talk time, 24 hours of listening time, and up to 98′ of wireless range from supported Bluetooth Class 1 devices, the black over-ear Voyager 8200 headset comes with a compact USB Type-C Bluetooth adapter for connecting to your Mac or Windows PC. An indicator on the adapter lights up when the headset is muted.
Equipped with four internal dual-paired microphones, the boom-less Voyager 8200 features a two-level active noise-cancellation mode that lets you choose how much ambient noise you want to hear. The Voyager’s smart sensors are designed to detect whether you’re wearing the headset, ideal for automatically playing and pausing music or answering calls. A dynamic mute alert warns you when you’re talking while the headset is muted. Certified for Skype for Business and optimized for Microsoft Lync, the Voyager 8200 supports unified communication applications and softphones from Avaya, Cisco, Skype, and others.

We resolved the issue. Ordering a bluetooth dongle and we will be able to use it on the home computer. We thought it would be provided, if needed.

The headphones quickly pair with my phone and desktop. The noise cancelling feature may work for conversations but for listening it barely makes a difference. All fine until the headphones developed started to smell like cat urine. I am not sure why that happened in a cat-free, clean, office environment. It seems that this situation has happened to other customers.

I’ve been using this headset now for just over a month. I’m also a Solution Consultant for GCI, specialising in Skype for Business and GCI Cloud Contact Centre. I can say from the outset – this headset gets used a lot – If it’s not on my head it’s around my neck. I actually used the smaller UC Focus previously which I was very happy with, I just wanted something that would be a little more inconspicuoius when I’m travelling. I’ve not compared the headset to other brands, so my view is perhaps a little one sided, however I’ve been using Plantronics devices for over 10 years and they’ve never failed me, so I don’t feel the need to try something else. I must say I’m impressed most by the battery life, the noice cancelling and the quality of the headset. Audio quality is very impressive, I also love that having music loud does not project onto other people who actually can’t hear what I’m playing – unlike a lot of headsets which I’ve been close to on the tube etc. I don’t find it heavy or overbearing when using it, switching between devices is simplistic and having it connected to my phone and mac at the same time is brilliant. I’m told when on calls that the call quality is good, i.e no background noises or echo being picked up from the Microphone(s). I highly recommend this device, it really ticks all boxes for me when it comes to work and play.

Just got this for work. Connects great and sounds great on my iPhone. It shows to be connected to my Macbook but it won’t automatically switch over when audio is coming from laptop, and when it does it’s intermittent broken static. Firmware is up to date. Not sure what to do with these.

Sidetone feature has weird electro/robotic sound like if you were in a barrel or an empty room. In addition, when working in louder environment, sidetone does exact opposit what active noise cancelling does – it playes the sound of loud environment in the speakers which makes this headset unusable especially in louder environment. Unfortunately, there is no option to turn the sidetone off (there is only low / medium / high settings – where low is still pretty loud for me). Manufacturer should give us option to turn it off or at least improve or let us choose voice of the sidetone. The sound which it plays is unacceptable. It is a pity that such a headset don’t have this opportunity. I have only possibility to buy another headset and throw this one to bin. Will not recommend it anymore and will not buy any more of these in our company.

Sleek and elegant headphones which works so effectively with iPhone. It has big enough ear cups which are stylish and comfortable to wear it during workouts or during a video/audio calls. Having one-step pairing process to handy when it needs to be used across devices but this can be paired with two devices at the same time, which is nice to have. Audio quality is impressive as well and noise cancellation works well as well. Once I put it on, I do not hear any noise from the outside world all I hear is either the music or the voice of the caller. Control buttons are easy to use and navigate while it on. Battery last well over 20 hrs in a single charge. It is so effective that it even works when I am listening to music at a low volume. Bluetooth works for a good distance of up to 23-30m. Receiving calls while listening to music is relatively easier and it just needs one tap to button. Overall a great headphones. Pros Nice design Rich Battery Life The sound quality is superb Bluetooth connectivity is fast and easy Superb call quality lighweight comfortable to wear Cons Nothing so far

I am really happy with my Voyager 4200 series, they are the best headset I own. The audio is great, they are super comfortable to wear for long periods of time and all the feature buttons are convenient and easy to use. When speaking with my customers on this headset the audio comes through crisp and clear. I was also surprised how far away from my base I could go and I never worried about losing connection. The battery life on this headset is also fantastic when I put in a long day I never had to worry if they could make it through the day, they just kept on going. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to get these, Thanks for another great product.

I was in the market for an ANC headset with a good mic to use at work on phone calls, etc. After reading many reviews, I settled on the 8200 and it has exceeded my expectations. The sound quality for listening to audio is very good and the performance of the mic on calls is exceptional. Previously, I used a headset with a boom mic (also a Plantronics) and everyone says these sound just as good. I was afraid these would sound like speaking into a speaker phone, but I’m told it sounds like I am speaking directly into the handset. If you are looking for all-purpose ANC headphones with excellent phone call performance, I highly recommend these.

I like the quality of the product. The sound is great. I use it for home. I work in a loud call center, I can hear my customers clearly but they can’t hear me. it was frustrating trying to use at work. A boom mic would really help.

Same problem with two units, first unit and the replacement second unit. Plantronics Voyager 8200 UC play/pause button function extremely unreliable with Pixel XL. Plantronics BackBeat Fit play/pause button function extremely reliable with Pixel XL. Why does the Plantronics Voyager 8200 UC have problems, but the Plantronics BackBeat Fit works fine? It appears the hardware and/or firmware of many Plantronics Voyager 8200 UC units is defective. Updated firmware. Problem remains. First and second unit. Rebooted phone, rebooted headset. Problem remains. First and second unit. Un-paired, re-paired. Problem remains. First and second unit. Deactivated motion sensors. Problem remains. First and second unit. is headset for a couple months now. I have never had an over the ear headset before. I am in a fairly noisy office and was hoping to use these for cold calling sessions, but they just don’t cut the background noise from others in normal conversation tone in 3 other cubicles near me. I bought a boom mic to run with them, but when I plug it in, the Bluetooth is disabled and disconnects from my phone. I cannot find a single person to talk to about this. Also worth noting the plastic volume dial rattles while I walk and can be heard quite loudly in my left ear.

Really bad audio and I can hear lots of static. Difficult to pair to iPhone X.

Charge time out of the box was about an hour. From low battery warning, it was about two hours. Between music, phone and standby in my regular usage, I get around 18 hours between charges. The controls are logical and function very well. The pause function even works across many apps. The sound quality for music is amazing. It rivals vintage audio equipment, something I did not think possible with Bluetooth. I have a Sansui AU9500 amp and Koss Pro 4 headphones, and they sound nearly identical. The highs are crisp and the bass is warm and full. I can almost feel the bass! I have certain songs across many formats that I use for testing (mp3, mp4, live feed, YouTube) and on first listening, I got chills. I never expected it from Bluetooth headsets. Sirius/XM and Pandora sound nearly CD quality. Very impressive! I work in a manufacturing environment, producing engines for the trucking industry, and it can get quite loud. The earpieces blocked just enough noise to enjoy the music, but let through enough to be safe. Phone calls at work were very clear both for me and the caller. The people on the other end heard little to no background noise. The controls are logical and function well with many apps. The only thing that could be better is moving the mic boom to the left ear. It’s just a matter of preference, but I’m used to a left ear mic boom.

I bought a pair for my husband and I ended up buying a second pair for myself. The headphones are light and fit both of our head shapes well. The noice canceling speakers make listening to music exciting. They make me feel like I am having an moment just between myself and the artist, like they are singing just to me. The volume is amazing and I love the color options. They are soft and very comfortable on. They do not get heavy after long lengths on and the battery life is amazing. I just love these! Definitely a five star product!

The headset works very badly with Iphone in the office environment – audio streaming is impossible – it works like distorted DAB radio. I tried to contact support – the only answer – it is not our issue – go to apple. Very disappointed. All other pluses of the headset are not significant to me after this kind of experience with the support

The audio quality is decent and haven’t had issues with users hearing my voice. The included USB cable and 3.5mm audio cable are very cheap; would expect better quality with a ‘premium’ headset. The fit is a little snug, but at least they won’t fall off. Would like to see USB-C connectors. In order for the mute button to work with my laptop I had to use the included BT600 adapter.
