Ideal for noisy work environments, the Blackwire 8225 On-Ear Stereo Headset from Plantronics features a swivel boom microphone with four integrated digital microphones, Acoustic Fence and hybrid active noise cancellation technologies. Acoustic Fence utilizes two of the microphones to help ensure that whomever you’re speaking with only hears your voice, and not distracting background office noise. Three different ANC settings allow you to adjust noise cancellation levels to suit your environment. Stereo on-ear earpads and 32mm drivers work to provide high-quality audio and passive noise isolation, so you can hear others better and focus on important calls.

This is the first headset that I’ve ever owned and with that said, I am pleased with it. There are some areas where I feel it needs improvements but overall, this is a good headset for those who need a good headset that won’t break the bank. Here’s what I like about the headset: -Great noise canceling -Very comfortable over the ears -Feels like it’s made with primium materials -Good clarity from the microphone Here’s a few items that I feel needs work: -The cable isn’t as flexible as I would like it to be -The bottons could be more touch sensitive rather than me pressing hard on them to function

Good sound quality and ANC. I enjoy listening to music with this. My video conferences are going smooth and the most important is it has ANC.

Love it! Comfortable to wear. Audio quality of headset and microphone is high. Noise cancelling features are useful.

Great quality headset. Sound quality is pretty good, nothing like a gaming headset or an expensive pair of headphones, but good enough for an office job or something from home. This is honestly the perfect headset to bring to like a call center, the built in sound isolation would work wonders in a loud and busy place like that.

I have been using these for about a week or so and really like them. My husband works nights and snores loudly while I am working. I haven’t had anyone on calls mention background noise. I gave it 4/5 because they fit a little too snug.and puts pressure on my ears. I wear glasses so that may be part of the issue. So, I have to take them off throughout my 8 hour shift. My old headset didn’t put so much pressure on my ears and didn’t have an issue with them on the entire shift.

The headset is very comfortable. The boom adjustments are smooth, but could use a little more maneuverability because you can not bring it closer to your face. This is probably so you dont have it too close and compromise the sound fence. The boom does rotate so you can use it on either side though. The best feature is the sound fence. OMG! It will keep any background noise out of your conversations. The inline switch will remove noise in your ears so you can hear better, but doesnt seem to affect the other persons experience. You can also use this on multiple pieces of equipment. Not only can you use it on your computer, but you can buy an adapter and use it with your cell phone as well. It beats any Bluetooth for call quality. The adjustments of the ears is nice as well. It rest on the top of your head and sits over, not on your ears when adjusted correctly. And when you take it off the ears rotate and lay flat so the cushions won’t get marked up on the edges. After wearing it for a few hours you won’t be trying to adjust it so it will be comfortable. Just set it and forget it. People will think they are the only one in your world even when youre busy doing other things. I am impressed with the technology in this little thing.

This review is specifically for the version that ends in USB 2.0. If you want to use these headphones with any mobile device, I suggest the version that ends in USB-C. I don’t do much calling from my laptop, most of my calling is from my phone still. My phone came with a USB to USB-c adapter that I have used for other USB headphones with mics from Plantronics. These though would not work. The headphone portion worked great, you could listen to music, watch videos, and hear the other person on the other line. However, the mic never worked. I tried a myriad of options including firmware updates, but could not get them to work. Now, for what actually did work. The headphone portion. The fit and weight are great, they feel nice on the head, a pair I could wear for hours if needed. The on-top-of-the ear style makes it so that your ears don’t get too fatigued too fast. These headphones have the best noise cancelling I have ever had from on-the-ear headphones. The different levels allows you to “keep an ear out’ if you need to while still blocking out most ambient sounds.
