   Finally found a cord that works with H171N headset and Shoretel IP 485G phone, WITHOUT an amplifier, as the phone has a headset jack. Other cables required an amplifier or do not work at all with that phone.

   I have used a Plantronics headset for years and have come to rely on it. When it quit working I was concerned. Fortunately when I called technical service, I received guidance from a patient tech service rep who diagnosed my problem and recommended a new coil cord. The cord arrived timely and works fine.    I bought this to marry my plantronics headset with a new phone my work put in. The rep at customer service suggested this piece to make the headset compatible with the Cisco 7420 phone, it works perfect! The sound quality is very smooth and nice without crackling, echoes or feedback. Great advice!
