The Plantronics CS510 Spare Wireless Headset is a replacement/spare headset for the Plantronics CS510 wireless headset system. It includes a rechargeable battery that affords up to 9 hours of talk time. The monaural headset features a noise-cancelling microphone, DECT 6.0 wireless technology and a wireless range of up to 350′ (106.7m). It also features hearing protection measures including SoundGuard, Time-Weighted Average and Anti-Startle technology.

I use the headset for phonecalls at work and it really makes my hands free, my neck straight and my life easier. I would prefer, if it would be a little longer, but this way it’s fine, too.

I had been using the CS540 headst for its convertible wearing styles, but my customers were complaining about having to charge or replace batteries often. Turns out I missed the specs stating that the CS510 has almost double the battery life of the CS540. My customers also almost always use the over-the-head style anyway, so this is a much better fit. We’re all happier now!

Ordered this for my office manager and then told her it was too complicated and I had better test it. Setup took five minutes and I am ordering 3 more having to keep the original one for further testing. call clarity is a lot better than my old corded plantronics headset. The range is great, although too many walls degrades it quickly. It’s used with our Cisco SPA 303 IP phones.

I have had Plantronics products for the last 35 or so years, and have found them to be great products. I replaced my Plantronics M22 corded headset (which still works perfectly) with the CS510 wireless headset by Plantronics. 1) The + button on the headset did not increase the volume, and 2) I could hear my voice amplified in the earpiece when I spoke. Otherwise, it was a beautiful unit which I was pleased to have on my desk, and I loved the freedom to move around. Perhaps the CS510 was defective, or perhaps it was a compatibility issue with my telephone, but either way it was not acceptable, so I am returning it. Thank goodness for my M22, even if I am tethered again.
