Plantronics APD-80 + wireless headset with ShoreTel IP485g phone set to APD-80 and Auto off-hook Headset modes work great! I place a call via Connect client and the headset automagically goes off-hook – I just pick it up from its base and ring-back is already in progress. Similarly, using the client to go on-hook requires no button pushing anywhere. I just return the headset to its charging base.

Works Perfectly w/ Allworx Verge Phones (9312 tested) & Plantronics CS500-series base units. Not only does it let you answer and disconnect the call from the button on the headset, it gives you the call-alert noise without having to stick gooey mics or sensors on your nice new phones. Note that, if you don’t need the call-alert feature, the thin round cable included with the CS500 base works fine when plugged into the handset port on the Allworx phone.
