   I purchased these RJ45 connectors to add Cat6a wiring to my home network. They do fit well with the thicker gauge of Cat6a cables. Unfortunately, there is a significant speed decrease as compared to other brands. My gigabit network showed 250MB/sec instead of 1GB/sec that other Cat6 cables show. Although I tried straight wiring and even attempting trials of stripped wire ends, I had much less network speed in all configurations. I even tried these connectors with Cat6 and Cat5e cables. Same story; much less speed. I will continue to strip the ends of the wires and wire them through regular Cat6 RJ45 connectors with other brands. These didn’t work as promised and I do not recommend them.
