Description
Terminate Cat3, 5, and 5e cables quickly with 100 EZ-RJ45 Connectors in a jar from Platinum Tools. Each connector comes outfitted with thru holes that let you pass colored networking wires through and out in the front so you can easily verify the proper wiring order. To improve electrical performance, the connector pulls the cable jacket tightly in the back, reducing the distance between the wire twists and contacts. In addition, these connectors are compatible with solid or stranded wires and feature a one-piece design with no bars or liners.

the feed through on the wires is a great bonus, being able to check color coding before crimping.the connector is a harder plastic making it less likely to warp when left in the truck on hot days, a problem i have had in the past with other connectors.

This connector, and the tool associated with them, make the task of building RJ-45 based cable easy. It was always a pain to get the leads in all the way, and to get the jacket in the connector. These fix that. In this connector, you make the leads longer, and push them all the way through the connector. Push the jacket all the way in, and Crimp using the Platinum tool. The crimp tool cuts off the excess cable, and Voila! You have a PERFECT termination. Perhaps it is sad that I could get so excited about something like this, but making Cat-45/Ethernet cables has been something I have avoided like the plague. These connectors have changed that. They really are that good.
