The 256GB Turbo 3.0 USB Flash Drive from PNY is a USB 3.0 compatible flash drive featuring 256GB storage capacity, allowing you to transport and store a variety of files including movies, photos, documents, and much more. Transfer data to and from this USB flash drive quickly with USB 3.0 technology, which is ten times faster than USB 2.0.
As with most flash drives it is essential that the USB connector remains protected to keep your data safe. This flash drives comes equipped with a sliding collar allowing you to extend the cover when not in use to keep the USB connector from becoming damaged. You can also take this flash drive with you on the go with an integrated key ring loop.

File storage, file transfer, this drive will do the job. At 64GB there is plenty of room to stick a bunch of ISOs on and make a bootable flash drive. I’ve currently got 15 ISOs and there’s still 30GB for file storage.

I am experiencing inconsistent writing speeds, from 70 MB/s to 1-2 MB/s. It is really frustrating when you have to copy large files fast (4GB-10GB) and the speeds are about 2-3 MB/s. Read speeds are consistent. Also the outside case is made of cheap plastic. I am using it on a 13 macbook pro mid 2012 with Yosemite on a USB3 port.

The flash drive loaded all of the info that I needed. It worked very well on my CPU that had a USB 3 port, but took a little longer to load on my CPU that only had a USB2 port–but it did work.

Remember when your hard drive was 40MB, and you clock ran at 33 MHz? You aren’t in Kansas anymore, Toto. We use these flash drives to back up 3 laptops, each with more than 5,000 photographic images; 32GB isn’t large enough, and USB 2.0 takes about an hour for each computer. And, the cost at B&H is lower than that of any of the competition.

I have 3 of these drives and 2 64GB versions. All have worked perfectly. Switched to Xfat to move large files over 4GB and it gave me a little more file transfer speed. These USB3.0 drives will move any file over 1 MB very quickly. The majority of my files are larger (Over 1 GB), like movies, ISO and Image backup files. I like the size and sliding cover although it’s a little hard to slide at times. I feel these drive are the best value for my hard earned dollars.

it used to work well as a back up drive and for large document and video files, but my devices stopped reading the drive after 6 months of use so I had to upgrade to a 2TB hub drive.
