Although they work as promised, it is very difficult to retract the connection fully into the sleeve. Each time I do, I worry I’ll break the casing.

Do not buy.Did not work

The good: it’s cheap, it’ll store 16 gigs, the form factor is reasonable. The bad: USB 2.0 interface so all transfers are extremely slow. Do not buy the larger sizes, it will take hours to transfer 128 gigs on and off a USB 2.0 mass storage device. Not recommended unless you need the absolute cheapest device out there and you don’t care how long it takes to move data on and off it.

The protective cover is a bit confusing.

not a fan. This flash drive is too small for me to attach any type of label to it to identify the contents
