I purchased this for a backup of photos while traveling, it’s large enough to hold a full weekend of shooting as a backup to my laptop. The USB 3.0 is quite a bit faster than USB 2.0.

Received this item on August 12, 2015. Used this twice so far (today is August 14, 2015). The write (into this drive) speed is unacceptable on either USB 2 or USB 3. Frequently the write speed actually falls to 0 byte/sec !! I can share the screen shots of required. Pretty bad by any standard. I want to return it for the money back if B&H allows it.

bought a bunch of these to give as gifts with 70GB of family oral history videos. For the price it is hard to beat, I was able download the content in about 20 minutes (a big deal when having just a day to get them downloaded in time for the family Xmas party. Compared to the first attempt at a $ high speed flash card it was like night and day. This is way better built. Not so good that you would want to stuff it in your pocket and carry with you all of the time but decent enough that you should get a good life out of it with reasonable precautions.

I use my PNY 128G flash drive to backup my photos during dive trips, as I take thousands of photos and live in fear of losing them. The flash drive is an economical and most convenient way to backup on a daily basis. The PNY flashdrive is an essential part of my camera bag.

Best price for a full-speed, 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive. I bought two. Only used for 2 days so far, but filled them up with no problems and also streamed video from them.

This is actually my first thumb drive, because it combines huge storage capacity with USB 3.0 operation at a price I couldn’t resist. But when I tried loading a 60GB folder in a USB 3.0 port, the load failed three times before I gave up. Switching to a USB 2.0 port, it loaded without a single incident. The captive plug-protector slide is handy, but tends to flop over the connector while you’re plugging it in. You either have to hold it back or ignore the flopping.

The writing speed is not that fast but it is great at that price. I am very very satisfied. The shape and size are very secure. All the way it is great.
