This drive is so portable, making it great for sneaker net situations. And it has the storage capacity and speed to be a back-up drive. It came with a USB 3.1 cable and a USB C cable. Perfect. Fast, lots of capacity, easy to use. Everything I want in a personal drive. I may need a case for it.

I love B&H’s fast and free shipping option – that totally made the difference between me purchasing or not. It did arrive as promised, fast on time. The PNY drive is great! Nice compact size, seems sturdy. 2 included cables for different connection situations. Haven’t done any actual measured speed test, but it seems faster than other drives I have when connected to an older basic USB 3.0 port. The packaging looked like maybe it’d been opened before (tape seal was cut and corner of main packaging box torn), which made me concerned about it maybe being a faulty returned item. But everything was fine as far as I can tell. I’d buy again (hopefully unopened package next time). Hope they come out with 2TB and 4TB models soon that are reasonable price.

I bought this to create a boot drive for my 21 mid 2010 iMac. It makes the boot up go faster and programs load faster. So it works well as expected. But I wish I had paid more and bought a 1 TB drive instead, so I could get all of the internal drive’s contents onto it.

I bought this portable SSD for the price and the amount of storage. I did not want a 1 terabyte or even a 500 gigabyte. I am in college, so I wanted to make sure I had a fast and reliable backup of my files, and SSD is the way to go in my opinion. This PNY portable SSD works for me. It is fast!
