I’ve had this router (Model 690LR) for over 15 years, and it’s still going strong. Very reliable with good performance. Would highly recommend.

These routers are the workhorse of the construction industry, and I have had several in my career. I use this in retirement to do furniture and craft, and have two dedicated to router table duty, where they perform tirelessly. I just had one break, and realized I had purchased it, used, fifteen years ago from a cabinet shop, so it earned its retirement the hard way! Will I replace it? Is there any other at this price?

I found it to be very easy to use, I especially liked the depth adjustment. The cord is plenty long enough for my use.It never bogged down, and the fact it has 2 collet sizes for all my bits,I found it to be the perfect router for my applications.

As numerous online reviews have stated, one of my top cap screws sheared off at the router body immediately. With some duct tape I was able to hold the cap in place for the day to finish my job before returning it. The router worked great, plenty of power for the very large cut I was making. I have been using Porter Cable tools for 40+ years with two smaller routers and a porta-plane still running strong. Sadly the Chinese takeover of manufacturing gives these kind of results. I liked the router’s ability but would recommend immediately replacing the cheap screws with grade 5 or 8 before using. Small effort for what I believe is still a great router.
