The orbital sander with variable speeds sanded my car perfectly made the job go much easier and faster l would recommend this tool to anyone who either wants to sand or polish anything. You can sand or polish from 2800 rpm to 6500 rpm which is a big help

This thing is okay when you have no other choice but this. As a sander I’m sure it’s great. As an orbital polisher, this things is borderline useless (at least for me). I’m polishing a car with near-perfect paint, minus some love marks. This machine doesn’t seem to have the power to even get rid of the lightest swirl marks. That’s using a cutting pad.The polishing head that came with this works well enough for polishing, but it can’t be changed out with other pads unless you buy another hook/loop head. It’s also not ergonomic at all. It’s maybe a step up from a vibrating brick.

I bought this highly rated dual-action sander/polisher for polishing weathered paint on personal cars, trucks, and boats. With some experimenting with polishes, sealant or wax, and pads I have my cars and boat looking great with a minimum of effort. DIY detailing, done right.

Wasn’t sure if I wanted this model or the pro type 8″ rotary. So…I went with the safer less likely to burn through orbiting polisher. Pretty happy with the results and it didn’t take too much work to bring back the finish on a 12 year old clear coat car finish. I suggest buying a hook and loop back plate with a few wool polishing pads, six or more cotton polishing bonnets and your favorite liquid polish and wax. Happy so far.

great orbital sander. the buffer pad that came with it I used to “polish” some dull headlight covers and made a mistake of wetting the pad (sponge) and free spinning the disk trying to get some of the water out, the water in the sponge was forced to one side and it exploded, half of the pad rocketed off flying across the yard@!@as a Sander, it does a GREAT job – 100x better than the little square palm sander I was using.
