The Porter-Cable 6 in. Variable Speed Random Orbit Sander is great for a wide variety of sanding and polishing projects. This sander incorporates an electronic, variable speed dial that can be adjusted from 2500 to 6800 OPM for your needs. It features a compact, lightweight design for all-day use. The removable, 2-position (left or right) side handle is comfortable and provides excellent control.
- Includes sander, 6 in. polishing pad, PSA pad, sanding disc, side handle and wrench
- 4.5 Amp motor for high overload protection; variable speed dial operates at 2500-6800 OPM

Replace a HF DA Sander and this has more power but seems a little heavier. Boat came out beautiful with a polish and wax. Getting used to the on/off button at the top of the machine.

When I got it it had major swirl marks scratches like someone washed it with a green scratchy pad. I found out the clear coat was real swift. Certain microfiber rags would scratch it. I’ve had this for about a year and it works like a champ. Definitely recommend to any diy’r this is all you’ll need

Great product, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for anyone looking for an effective orbital buffer for a great price compared to others. The only drawback is that the product comes with a polishing pad attachment, but does not come with the hook and loop attachment.

Well made. Easy to use paper attachment. A bit heavy… Which is good and bad. On flat surfaces where gravity is your friend it’s great… Sanding off paint lines on a wall not so much. I’ve used 40 grit to 180 and in between, with Excellent results. Quick material removal. Finer grits give nice finish.

Straight forward product. Excellent at polishing final finish on furniture or autos and great at sanding. No complaints yet. You might want to buy a hook and loop base pad for attaching buffer pads if you polish a lot.
