The Porter-Cable BN200C 18-Gauge 2 in. Brad Nailer Kit Drives 18-Gauge nails from 5/8 in. to 2 in. length. This brad nailer features a long life maintenance-free motor to keep from staining the work surface. Designed with a magnesium body for strength and lightweight use. The kit includes carrying case, removable non-marring nose tip and owner’s manual.

I got this nailer about 4 months ago. I don’t have a compressor for my basement workshop and I’m not going to be living here long enough to pipe it. I’ve been using a small air tank (made from an old 20# propane tank) filled to about 100-110 psi and it works perfectly. It uses very little air.

works great. recent projects all seem to need such a handy tool. convenience and nice accuracy. ever tried to hold something in place with the side of your hand while pinching a nail and striking that nail in with the other hand? not anymore. seems safer for spouse to use as long as one knows not to rest your finger on the trigger.

I like this 18-gauge nailer much better than my other P-C 16-gauge nailer when installing stained wood moldings — it leaves a much smaller nail hole so it’s easier to fill and hide, especially when taking care to orient the nailhead to go along with the grain rather than across it, if possible.

It is a little different from the old one so sometimes I don’t get the result I expected when I pull the trigger. Hence the 4 star rating.
