i had bought a Porter Cable pin nailer before staring my new house. It worked well. This framing nailer so far has performed well. Would buy it again

Very convenient to handle. Unfortunately, HD does not carry the nails for this gun in the store.

Allways ran hitachis, last one became more and more problematic. Priced rebuilding, decided to buy new instead, had the same hitachi i was replacing for exact same price but the rafter hook and a few other features caught my eye and altered my decision. Kinda was regretting it at first so i kept it in the box for a bit and dealt with my old hitachi for another week. Read review after review and finally fired it up and couldnt be happier!! Time will tell i guess but so far so good!

I am a carpenter for a large remodeler and frame probably 30% of year. This gun has been great to me. It does the job and doesn’t jam. It has plenty of power as well; I’ve never had trouble sinking nails and the depth adjustment is straightforward and tooless. Some minor issues I’ve had with it:The lock is very close to the trigger so people who borrow the gun often lock it accidentally. This gun is LOUD. Plan to wear headphones if you want to keep your hearing.

This nailer is awesome! Plugged right in and has performed just as described

I got this nail gun because I had some clipped head nails to use. This gun also uses normal round head nails as well so the dual purpose was the main selling point. I’ve used this gun to build a new cedar fence and after hanging 147′ of fence the gun has worked flawlessly. The light weight is also a huge advantage. The only reason why I did not give this purchase 5 stars is because it didn’t come with a carrying case.

I had been looking for an excuse to buy a framing nailer for some time and finally justified it for doing some fairly extensive fence repairs after trying the old hammer and nail method in prior years. This nail gun is easy to use and a real time-saver. Can’t wait for the next project…

I was building a shed and needed a hammer. This tool did the job in both roughing in the floors and walls but did an excellent job on the roof with the osb board. Nice tool.

Ordered the tool to have it delivered right away and it came just as stated. Great tool and much lighter than my older model and the price was very reasonable.

I have a large assortment of Porter Cable air nailers including the FR350A but when I was out shopping on Black Friday, I could not believe that they were practically giving away this gun for a buck-29. I couldn’t get this thing in the basket quick enough and I’ve been using it every day since. To compare the two guns, the FR350A is a workhorse but this gun can run circles around it on every level. The FR is a round head only using plastic collated 22 deg nails and weighs ~15 pounds. The FC will take both round or clipped head paper collated in the 30-34 deg range, weighs ~7.5 pounds and has has been redesigned to drive 3.5″ nails in engineered lumber. The gun comes equiped with Tool-lessTrigger Selection, Tool-less Depth Adjustment, Framers Hook, Low-Nail Lockout, Case, Oil, Allen Wrench, & Manual. As of today, you can still get this gun at this incredible price but you will have to do some looking as most stores sold out quickly.

I used this nailer to re-nail all my deck boards and to repair some of the structure. It performs well. The price was great on a Home Depot special deal of the day. Only concern is there seems to be a limited variety of nails available that are for a 30 degree nailer. HD sells Paslode nails for around $59 a box of 2500 nails. I used 3-1/2 inch long .120 inch diameter ring shank galvanized nails for nailing 2x structure and 2-3/8 inch long.103 inch diameter ring shank galvanized nails for the 5/4 deck boards. HD also sells similar size nails with bright finish. The local Lowes does not sell 30 degree nails.

This is the first nail gun that I own. Have used it for the past week without any problems. This is a lot better than swinging a hammer Have used both 2 and 3 inch nails

I only rated this a 4 instead of a 5 because I don’t have a lot of experience with framing nailers. It’s a pretty basic tool but I’m sure there are some with more features out there. This does everything I need though so for my usage around the house it’s a 5. I won’t be using it for 6 hours a day every day. I got it to do reframing on my shed; I had to rebuild the doors and add about 9 inches to each side to fit my mower deck in. I had no issues and was running paper collated round head nails through it. I probably didn’t need a nailer but I know I’m going to be moving some walls in the house in the future so decided to pick one up. At this point in time round head nails are not required by code but it was important for me to get something that wouldn’t be obsolete in 3 years. Picked it up 50% off so it was like $104 including tax; couldn’t beat the deal.

Replaced my deck with this porter cable 3 1/2 clipped head framing nailer and a ryobi 6 gal pancake compressor. The gun never jammed. Drove the nails completely, and never misfired. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Borrowed one from a friend. Ease of use made me want one. Saw it on sale for $129.00 and had to get one. SCORE!!! Depth adjustment easy to use.
