The planer was packaged well and has a nice build. It feels well made looks good. I ran some boards through and it cut without any hesitation. Boards were super smooth.

Just purchased this planer and fresh out of the box it had a screw that was so tight in the feed plate that I stripped it with a phillips screwdriver. So after using a grab it bit to remove I am now trying to find a replacement screw. So I can’t tell you if it will be a good planer or not.

I build furniture for a living and purchased this planer to plane hardwood. It worked flawlessly. Assembly was minimal. I ran some 5/4 x 10′ maple through it the other day. Definitely need to build a support table to catch the wood as it exits. If a board isn’t level it will dig into the board as it exits.

Just received my PC305TP portable planer and after setting it up ran some 5” x 0.75” x 30” Red Oak baseboards through. I am only giving the unit 4 stars because I have found that, out of the box the unit is cutting a 2” long swath across the whole width of the board about 1/64th” deeper at the head and tail of the work than the rest of the board. Also I’ve noticed that the cuts done on the right side of the feed are more aggressive than cuts done anywhere else in the feed. I don’t know if this is a feature or flaw but I’ve also found that after the feed, the cutter heads will advance down on their own (which I like). Wish I could contact Customer Service or Technical Support to explain these issues and remedy them, because in the whole, I Love this machine. Hope this helps others. Enjoy.

I got the pc305tp bench top planer about 3 years ago and it has worked good. I have not had any problems with it i have planed over 300 board feet of hardwood from 5/4 inch down to 3/4 inch using the same side of the blades. but it’s time to turn the blades around and use the other cutting edge.

I have had this planer for 2 years and never had any problems with it. Nice smooth cut and very easy to use. The only issue was just recently when it started to cut uneven. Very easy to work on, made the adjustments, and works like new.

Works good, only gripe so far is that there is not attachment for dust collection

The price point for the 12-1/2 in. 15 Amp Double-Edged Quick Change planer is well below its actual value. I have run several types of wood, several lengths and thicknesses, and have been simply amazed at the qualiy of the cut by this machine. If there were going to be one factor I would change, it would be to change out the rolled wings for stamped wings, however, a couple of rollers will do the job nicely. This is a fantastic tool for the price point, and worth any amature/hobbyist’s money and time.
