I had one before for 3 years, I was cutting in dirt and got to much inside and it wrecked the plunger shaft, it froze up and the saw started smoking…

Very happy so far. Haven’t used it yet for trimming trees.

I have the entire Max line including tile saw, flashlight and even a 2 speaker radio that isn’t horrible. This reciprocating saw is the first one in the line to fail. Sad part is that it failed on simply cutting a door frame away from the wall.I used it on a half dozen tree roots, some cardboard boxes and finally this door.I will buy a replacement simply because I own the entire line and a stack of batteries but I’m probably going to start investing in something a bit heavier duty. Don’t have enough time to mess with failed tools.Overall a nice homeowner line of cordless but reciprocating saw leaves disappointment.

The saw functions just as advertised. Battery life is good. Changing the blade is easy. It is light weight and easy to use for pruning branches, which is the reason I bought it.

Yes, very nice capable tool. Nice reserved design. Surprisingly strong. Nice sensitive variable speed. Very glad I got Porter Cable instead of competition .

Powerful and convenient to use. Large branches fell from my tree from a storm we had and I used this tool ( with 9″ pruning blades) to cut the branches into manageable pieces. Glad I got the battery powered one and not the corded one.

I abuse the heck out of this saw. Jam it everywhere. I cut copper, SS, aluminum, brass, carbon steel, and wood. Use it professionally on a monthly basis, sometimes more and when it is used its an all day activity. I use the larger 4ah batteries and has never let me down. I own 3 other brands for personal use. This one cuts as good as the higher end older yellow 18v and much better then the blue and lower end green. I like the light weight and the fast aggressive cutting thats easily controlled.

Nice sized tool. Smaller in size. Have yet to use on heavy demo work, but for the price it is a good handy tool to have for smaller jobs

Good, easy to use tool that complements the family of Porter-Cable cordless tools I already have.

Definitely requires a 4.0ah battery. This is Porter Cables premium version of the the recip saw and is far superior to the cheaper PCC671 that is thrown into black battery kits. The cheaper PCC671 is just a recolored Black and Decker model where this PCC670 is based on an older Dewalt model.

I purchased saw to assist me in building wooden garden boxes as well minor home remodeling projects. I like the all grip contoured handle and tool free blade release. This Tiger Saw sports a sturdy design and is very compact.I have many Porter Cable tools as my Dad had. I very much trust the Porter Cable Brand.
