The Porter-Cable PCE6430 1/4 in. Laminate Trimmer features a 31,000 RPM, 4.5 amp motor that provides the power and durability required to cut in various materials. This trimmer is perfect for most trimming, small edge forming and hinge routing applications. The kit includes Motor, Standard Fixed Base, 1/4 in. Collet, Collet Wrench, Straight Edge Guide and Operating Manual.

I bought this primarily so I wouldn’t have to keep removing my heavy duty router from my router table every time I needed to flush trim, rabbit, etc. I definitely made the right decision. 1st: Porter Cable products are made to handle the toughest projects. 2nd: This trim router has handled every project I threw at it and I have not regretted purchasing it. I would have liked a carry case but use an old ammo box for it, bits and tools.This router is not just for laminate. It’s a great product!

when porter cable changed the design of this router, they went from reliable to not so reliable. this tool wont hold dimension when set. older version had a positive stop and thumb screw micro adjustment. porter cable you have lost another customer for taking a quality product and made it junk. also instruction manuel is terriable.

I purchased this to use it for milling aluminum because it was one of the recommended routers per the instructions for my end mill. It is a very sturdy little item with plenty of power and it’s very easy to handle and maneuver. It has a long cord ( it’s got to be 6ft or more) and I like that feature. It has an led above the chuck but it doesn’t help much for what I was using it for. Adjusting the cutting depth is so easy, just release a buckle make your adjustment and snap the buckle together. I really like it and I can see why it was recommended.
