The Porter-Cable PIN138 pin nailer uses 23 Gal. headless and slight head pin nails from 5/8 in. to 1-3/8 in. length. It has a long life, maintenance free motor to keep from staining the work surface. It has consistent power and penetration to sink 1-3/8 in. nail sub-flush into Oak. It has a rear exhaust to keep contaminates away from work surfaces. This pin nailer was exactly what I needed. I already own both the Porter-Cable framing nailer and the trim guns for a long time. This pin gun fills out the collection so I can complete CZfine wood working projects.

My first project with this was to install some quarter round molding. It is easy to use and the holes made by the pins are almost invisible.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son, so it’s a bit premature to give an honest opinion of the tool. I will say that my expectations are high as I have significant history and experience with Porter-Cable tools and generally do not hesitate recommend them.

I do think this will come nvery handy vs using my brad guns. However-be aware that the owners manul says to CONNECT to air supply before loading. Are they trying to get sineone hurt? I called the company and got nowhere with the manual. So to be safe-DISCONNECT
