I bought this to replace the same model (earlier revision) that had stopped feeding nails properly. Works great, small, lightweight, and easy to load. I just wish manufacturers would incorporate an oiler into their pneumatic tools. I use one on the end of my hose but it makes the whole nailer that much more unwieldy.

This Roofing gun came ready to go out of the box! Seems to be well built. Good Quality. So far has worked well. Expecting to get many working years out of this gun!

I’ll be using this to make a dog house and chicken coop a little later this summer. I fired a few nails through it no problem. If you’re new to air tools, always be sure to oil your tools before use and they’ll last you a long time. I like the adjustable depth for this gun, which is a nice feature. The bump fire option is there as well, which is pretty much required for any legitimate nailer like this. In my picture below, you can see the whole nailer and magazine opened up for easy loading of the coiled nails. My only concern is that the coil holder is plastic, perhaps an ABS or something like that. It undoubtedly helps with weight since this nailer would be fairly hefty with the full roll of nails in there. I’m pleased so far and would certainly recommend.

This review is written from the perspective of homeowner and first time pneumatic roofing nailer.I highly recommend trying the nailer first on a scrap piece of wood.My previous experience with nailers includes framing, baseboard trim, and crown moulding. I have roofed a cabin and a garage but we were too cheap to use a nailer. This nailer operates a little differently from a framing nailer. With a framing nailer you really have to hold it down or the kickback will keep your nails from going all the way in. If you try that with this nailer it is going to rapid fire on you and put multiple nails in in the sam spot. It took me about 15 tries to get the nailing action right with this nailer. After that everything went fine. Just a little practice on scrap wood first.I haven’t had any problems with jamming wtih Grip-Rite 1-1/4 in. Smooth Galvanized Collated Roofing Nails…This nailer does not come with a case.I received this pneumatic roofing nailer for free to write this review.

Overall a good nailer. less forgiving than Bostch for double strikes and pressure settings. Works fine once you have mastered the technique for this particular nailer.

Lightweight and easy to handle. The loading bin is like any roofing gun. It has an easy to use depth adjustment knob right on the front of the gun that and the 50 dollar difference from bostitch is why I bought it. I dont think it is sturdy enough for professional roofers use but for a guy like me who does just about anything including small roofs 1 time a year or less its fine.

Solid and lightweight. This sturdy nailer was used on a 25 sq. roof at 7/12 pitch and it worked flawlessly. It only has one anti-skid surface on each side of it, located by the coil holder, and it kind of works OK on steep pitches. It comes with a male air intake attachment so you don’t need to buy that extra. The ABS plastic coiled nail holder was fairly sturdy and wasn’t an issue. Add a drop or two of oil in the air intake each time you use it and it should last a long time.
