Powerbuilt sockets feature chrome vanadium construction. Socket lengths exceed ANSI standards and have the center hole punched through for additional working depth on the work surface. Powerbuilt chrome sockets feature HV high visibility size markings that are three times larger for easy size selection. The size callout is forged into the socket wall using a patent-pending process and will not rub off or wear out with use. Finally Powerbuilt sockets feature Z-Drive, contacting the flat walls of fasteners for stronger grip.

Good finish on these thin wall and well marked 5/8″ drive spark plug socketsThese are all 6 point, contrary to the description stating 8 point. I’ve never seen a square spark plug in recent history.There are removable inserts to hold the spark plug in all of them.The plastic thing they are sold on is not storage device! More like an anti theft device!I, (and two guys, with clean hands!) tried to pull them straight off the holder, unsuccessfully.Basically snapped them free; then used a thin punch to remove the 3/8″ plastic block remaining in them.See pictureWould be nice if the plastic thing functioned as a holder, after the sale.

Product is just as described in the online description and work perfectly (all sockets have the rubber plug holder inserts). Really needed the 14MM socket. Having socket bases that accept a wrench is also very nice for certain limited access plug locations.

Overall it is appears as a good buy, but here is some comments. They are packaged on a plastic hanger with each socket attached to the hanger with a plastic clip that is pressed into each socket. So when you get it, you have to take the clips off the hanger and pull the sockets off the clips. They are pressed into the sockets pretty hard and don’t come out easily and break off in the process leaving plastic still stuck in the socket. It has to be dug out with a small screwdriver. This took me about an hour to do and was not fun. This really is a terrible way to package them. The sockets have a plastic piece inside, not rubber, to grab onto the spark plug meant to help pull it out. The problem is it grabs too good so the ratchet extension can come off leaving the socket stuck into the spark plug engine hole if it did not fit the plug making it not possible to take out running the risk of it being in the hole. If you are sure it fits, then you can always unscrew the plug to get the socket out, but if it does not you have to try to get it to come off the plug end using the extension (not good for hemi engines with spark plug holes straight down).The sockets overall look well made, just not buyer-friendly packaged, and to hard getting on and off the spark plug (at least until the plastic piece is softened up and broken in).

The crazy spark plug manufactures are not consistent in sizes. I took a plug out of my mower and the replacement was a different size socket. So glad I had the whole set and I also got a little 5 PC rail to hold them. Now I have all five together for any plug change

Took 20 min just to remove from holder. Then it’s all throwaway, can’t save as a holder, it must be destroyed to unhook. Bad design. But sockets seem OK.
