Universal weed eater, edger. I love the mounted wheels for edging, helps keep straight lines. Auto feed doesn’t work well, but who cares. Long life battery, lasted past 1/2 hour of my edging. Universal 0.65mm line.

WOW! what a surprise when i clopped in the battery and started it up and boom, it performed way better than i expected! it is compact, but with a good amount of power. i thought it would not handle the long trimming i had to do, but it did it! easy assembly, good edger and more power than you think. i highly reccomend this to anyone that needs a trimmer for those medium size yards.

I thought I was ordering a black and decker. The screen on the website and the description were difficult to read.The unit itself works fine. Automatic line feed is nothing of the sort. You have to turn it upside down and push the button to feed the line.Battery lasts a long time.

And no dangling electric cord as on electric trimmers. 18 volt should have plenty of trimming power for any home lawn need. There are two handles for comfortable control.

For light trimming around shrubs, trees, the house and garden; this trimmer will do the trick. I don’t think it can handle heavy duty trimming of thick, tough or tall grasses or weeds. It is however light weight, quiet and well balanced. The line is auto fed 0.065 inch and cuts a 10 inch swath. The unit is very adjustable and can be used for edging also. Very handy for small trimming jobs. Light weight, quiet, no gas fumes make it a good choice for quick trimming.

I ordered a black and decker 18v and received this. It was a 20v so I just figured they were out of the other brand and sent this one. Putting it together was a nightmare the directions were horrible and the illustration was just as bad. I finally figured out how to apply the wire protection part. And this is why I ordered black and decker to begin with

This is a lightweight string trimmer. It was easy to assemble. Charging the battery takes a bit longer than I expected since it is a lower volt – but it did charge thoroughly and hold the charge well. The handle is a good length for me as a female. Even though it is lightweight, I would like to have it attached to a back support system. It can handle light weeds and grass around front yard and garden. It would not be able to do heavy brush because of weight of string and limits of the battery power – but perfect for what we wanted it to do.

Lightweight cordless, trimmer with dual functionality, both a trimmer and edger all in one, battery and charger also included!I received the PowerSmart Handheld Cordless Trimmer/Edger in exchange for a fair and honest review of the product. I received this product in less than a week after ordering and it arrived in perfect condition.This Power Smart handheld string trimmer is practically assembled on arrival and is great for smaller projects such as trimming the yard or edging a driveway but is not powerful enough to mow down deep weeds or brush. This trimmer is about 4 feet in height, has an 18 V electric motor and a 1.5 Ah amp hr lithium battery which should last about 45 mins to 1 hr of use. I used mine for 30 mins and it still had power to spare. The battery requires charging before use, this will take several hours for a full charge and they also recommend storing the battery with a full charge as well.Obviously the biggest advantage to the PowerSmart trimmer is that it is cordless, so no tangled extension cords getting in the way and no need for gasoline. It is also light enough for women, about 7-8 lbs (in one place it states it is 8 lbs., in another 6.6 lbs.), a smaller female can easily grip the handle and complete a small yard trimming with no problem. I found some of the larger electric and gas trimmers weigh upwards of 12-14 lbs. which can easily fatigue some males and females after 30-60 mins. Some of the other positive features are it has dual functionality – it has an auto feed string trimmer as well as an edging wheel, it has a 5 position adjustable handle and the edger can be adjusted to 4 positions, 0, 30, 60 and 90 degrees which allows you to trim and edge at various angles (see pictures from instruction manual). The biggest negative is you cannot purchase the battery, charger or spools at your local warehouse or hardware store; however, you can purchase the .065 string or line at the Home Depot and most local hardware stores. This trimmer is manufactured in China and only has a 2 year warranty (with the receipt so hold on to it!) Many other brands offer a 3 to 5 yr warranty. The trimmer/edger with battery and charger retail under $50 which is definitely a great deal for a dual function trimmer. Replacement parts are only available through the manufacturer which can be somewhat of a pain if you need a part quickly. Overall, this is a good purchase for the price. It has dual functions –both trimmer and edger and it also includes the battery and charger, other brands you may have to purchase these separately. It is also lightweight which makes it the perfect lawn tool if you have a small project or want to do a quick touchup to a lawn, sidewalk or driveway.
