The only problem was they didn’t have an adapter to hook to a shop vac. I had to go somewhere else for that.

Great device for capturing table saw dust. Just connect the outlet end of the Hood to your shop vac.

I have a 10 year old Sears Craftsman contractor style table saw. After not having success with a cloth zipper bag product that velcros to the saw frame and hooks to my dust collector (it fell off and there was dust everywhere) I bought the “Big Gulp” (H.D. had the lowest price)I made a plywood frame to mount the product to and then mounted the assembly under my table saw frame. Then hooked up to the dust collector. Works great and will never fall down to the floor again. One of the best improvements I have made in my shop to control dust!

To those mounting under a table saw, be aware that there is a chute made just for that purpose; the fit was perfect under my Ridgid 3612 contractor table saw. I’m sure this works well also, but the simplicity of the fit without improvising was so easy.I mounted this Big Gulp in a plywood panel that is maybe 6″ taller than the hood to give me 3″ above and below the hood and the plywood extends maybe 2″ to the left and to the right of the hood. The plywood panel is mounted in dadoes top and bottom, in a 1×4 frame that clamps 90 degrees (upward) to the table that my miter saw is mounted to. The panel (with the gulp in it) mostly sits directly behind the saw at 90 degrees, but it can slide to either side as the 1×4 frame is twice the length as the plywood. Flexible 4″ dust hose remains attached. It occasionally gets moved to either side if I need to angle the saw. This gets a large percentage of the dust with a small single tool dust system using 4″ hose. Additionally, I had a small hood around the shop and mounted it in a fixed position behind my radial arm saw. I will be ordering the large hood before too long; it is just more effective at catching dust from a tool that wants to spray it everywhere, e.g. a radial arm saw.

It works fine, but hard to attach to a workbench.

Works as advertised, I connected it to a 4 inch dust collection system and it takes care of the majority of the dust.
