Introducing the 2-1/2-Inch Aluminum Blast Gate by POWERTEC. This must-have dust collector attachment helps maximize your dust collector system by regulating proper air flow to your designated machine of choice. Open and closed, it acts as an in-line gate to control the vacuum flow to specified areas of your work shop. Additionally, this aluminum blast gate works seamlessly with properly sized plastic and metal ducts, flexible hoses and 2-1/2-inch ports for an assortment of popular brands. Self-Cleaning: Unlike other models that require constant attention, this unit possesses a self-cleaning gate (open slot) at the back that allows for clog-free operation. So far so good. I have nothing to compare it to so I really can’t give it a fair rating.

Much better than cheap plastic ones. I bought a 4 and a 2-1/2 and like them both. Only issue is that 2-1/2 doesn’t open all the way. The little stop indentation stops it from opening all the way.

Works great. Really nicely made.

It’s a good quality gate which should last forever because its metal. However there is a gap at the bottom of it which makes it leak the air. A piece of butyl tape solved the problem. One could also use a silicone. It is rated 2.5″ but to fit a vac hose on it one would need to remove the end of hose

Good quality, for the price I was surprised

My vacuum fittings didn’t fit on this. I reformed some lengths of PVC pipe to fit.

As advertised

I should of bought a larger diameter. No one at the store even knew what I was talking about. Websites never even said what a proper size to use in certain uses. Does work allright
