I ordered this template set because of the large range of sizes of butterfly’s available. I used almost all sizes to in-lay butterflies along the length of a red oak coffee table top that I cut from a log on a diagonal so it would have a natural edge all around. Cutting a log in this way guaranteed it would split and need reinforcing hence the inlays. To hold templates while routing, I made a large wooden template with a cutout the size of the template. It worked out great. I’ve attached pictures of template and tabletop.

Nice assortment of sizes, correct thickness for the router guide. The only thing I would change is, they need a bevel or step cut in the outer edges to help with removing the template from the workpiece.
