The POWERTEC 71169 Universal T-Track 48 with 2 Hold-Down Clamps (5-1/2 in. L x 1-1/8 in. W) is your must have t-track set when you want to optimize your jig/fixture setup. With its precision-machined stepped design, our choice t-track (a generous 48 in L) accommodates 1/4 in. and 5/16 in. T-bolts, and 1/4 in. hex bolts. 2 premium, lever-shaped hold-down clamps, working in conjunction with the track, provide a dependable, high-tension grip on workpieces up to 2-1/2 in., to maximize worker safety, control and accuracy. Furthermore, the unique lever-profile of the clamps allow for maximum stock clearance. Clamps are easily adjusted and tightened via a handy 5-star knob. The clamp faces are rubber coated to ensure a rugged yet non-marring grip, making these convenient accessories especially suitable for use with soft or prefinished wood stock. Both T-track and clamps feature an aluminum build for long-lasting durability. Simple to install and easy to use. Great for routers, CNCs, drill presses, saws and all your assemblies and jigs. Would’ve been 5 stars but for the following. This is 2020 folks! The t-track is good, the hold down clamps are good and solid, and the t-track was pre-drilled for screws, but sure would have been nice to have had screws included, I mean, hey, these t-tracks were kind of expensive, and even stainless screws don’t cost that much—Powertec can buy them in massive bulk—and without screws included, or saying what kind of screws they need, it necessitates time to first figure out what size (it’s a # 8 American flat-head screw btw, and even those are still a little proud of the hole, but not enough to interfere with anything when tight—a detail that is NOT so hard to type into a spec sheet : ), and then you have to make a separate run to Home Depot, where if you value your time at all, along with the cost of gas and wear and tear on your truck, especially for those who may have to drive quite a ways to get to their Home Depot, is really costly, and just doubled the cost of the t-tracks. I think this is a very reasonable and easily satisfied request and will go far in earning greater customer satisfaction, instead of, ‘Darn, they didn’t even include any screws—how cheap can they be? Now I have to go back to the store, but first play around with what size heads fit into the holes, because they don’t tell you in the specifications!’ Yes, I’m a bit irate, but when the solution is soooo easy (I’ve designed spec sheets for 25 years), and they ignore it, it tells you a bit about the company philosophy, or lack of it.Cheers!Never give up! I purchased this product to use when edge routing projects. I cut the rail in half and sanded the cut edge smooth. Two dado cuts were made on a 24″x 24″ board to the depth and width of the T-Track. I mounted the T-Track equal distance apart on the board. It was then put to use.
