Unfortunately, Home Depot doesn’t allow commenting on their reviews. For anyone who’s unfamiliar with track saws, please ignore Jeff’s review, as he clearly doesn’t understand how this works. The track saw is SUPPOSED to cut the rubber strip right out of the gate. This creates a zero clearance edge that prevents splintering and gets you a better quality cut.Also, your track saw track isn’t a straight edge. It HAS a straight edge, and I supposed you could use it to see if something was straight, but you shouldn’t use it for most things you use a straight edge, like drawing a line or placing it on things to see if they’re flat. The rubber edge won’t allow you to draw perfectly straight line. And placing the rubber down on something could damage it and hurt that nice quality cut. Just get a real straight edge instead.This kit is fine. It’s not as nice as the legit Dewalt tracks but those are impossible to find right now so this is what we have. It’s the best way available to break down a sheet of plywood length-wise.
