- Setting The Rip Fence: (1) Raise the fence locking lever on the rip fence (2) Place the rip fence on the work table so that fence locking lever is at the front of the work table. (3) Lower the fence locking lever in order to lock the rip fence in position on the work table. (4) If the fence is too loose, turn the locking lever clockwise to tighten. If the fence is too tight, turn the locking lever counterclockwise to loosen. (5) Once proper tension is set, press the head of the fence against the front of the table and lower the locking cam until it locks.
- If the fence is not parallel to the blade or needs to be moved to correct blade drift, it can be adjusted by loosening the two screws on top of the fence. (1) Unclamp the fence and press the head against the table to make sure it is square to the table. (2) Loosen the two screws on top of the fence block and move the fence the required amount. (2) Tighten the two screws and clamp to make sure fence is now in the proper alignment.

Although it feels a bit lightweight, this fence clamps snugly to the table and maintains a perpendicular face once locked in place. It has no self-squaring capability, but for use on small tables with a non-parallel cutter or bit, it does the job. I’m using mine for a hot wire foam cutter I built.

Nice simple fence. It has no indexing feature so you must manually measure off the blade or table edge to insure the proper distance and “squareness” for a straight cut. It is a bit pricey but is easier than my previous method of c-clamps and a piece of angle aluminum.

There was no instruction sheet on adjusting it. Unfortunately I didn’t set it up correctly and I broke the lever that tightens it on the table. I called to see if I could buy a replacement lever but that was not possible. I’ve glued it together and it appears to work OK, and will be usable, as it is, for a long time if I’m cautious. I always read instructions, you never know what they are going to tell you about what you just got.

Ordered this for my 9″ Harbor Freight bandsaw. I have to say, the fence fit like a champ. I have only used it on the bandsaw once so far, but I have to say I am very pleased. I am most pleased that it actually fit.
