With a luster surface finish and micropore texture, this 500-sheet pack of 13 x 19″ Premium Photo Luster Paper from Premier Imaging offers artists and photographers a luxurious E-surface for presenting their work. The resin-coated base offers a basis weight of 260 gsm along with a thickness of 10.4 mil. Also, it features a bright white finish thanks to the addition of optical brightening agents. The medium dries nearly instantly and is water-resistant to help limit damage from handling.

My printer won’t let me print 8×12 borderless paper. I have called Epson about this and I talked to a woman who had no idea what I was talking about. To work around this, I print on Premier’s legal size 8.5×14 and cut the size to 8×12. I also noticed that the white borders are pure white when compared the yellowish borders on Inkpress Luster.

As I’ve stated before the quality is very close to Canon’s Luster Pro paper (LU-101). Most of the sheets are great and I select the Canon Luster Pro paper as the media type in the print dialogue and it works great and looks the same. The only issue is quality control is not nearly as consistent and you can sometimes see little imperfections in the paper. I once got about half a pack that looked like it was from the end of a roll when they cut it and the texture was off and the brightness was much more dull and the paper had a noticeable curl. That hasn’t happened since and it still looked decent printed but those kinds of things are to be expected with an economy paper.

It is excellent. I print on an Epson 1430 printer with dye inks and the surface appear almost identical to the more expensive Epson Ultra Premium Luster paper. I will use the Premium paper regularly in the future

I find this paper comparable to Epson and better than Finestra papers. I use the Ultra Premium Luster setting, with high quality results. Cost of paper extremely reasonable. Have also purchased and re-purchased Premier 11×14 Photo Luster Paper from B&H.

Impressed with the quality of the prints on this paper. It may be the only legal size photo paper available. My only problem is with my printer. It gives me the option to choose legal size paper only when printing in standard quality. When printing in photo quality, legal size paper is not an option. A4 is as close as I can get. Otherwise it’s great.

The paper feels very similar to other professional luster papers like Canon’s Pro Luster (LU-101). The paper is noticeably whiter than Canon’s so it makes beautiful Black & White photos. The problem I had was about 1/3 of the pack was defective and useless. The paper is supposed to have a luster finish on one side and a smooth coating on the back and if you’ve ever handled photo paper you know what I’m talking about. However, 1/3 of this paper has a very rough feel like it was standard card-stock and the paper was much stiffer and it curled a different direction than the rest of the stack. If you look closely at you can see some spots on the paper. After printing the image itself look good but it feels terrible and the spots are noticeable at the right angle. I sell my prints so this makes them unusable except for proofing and testing stuff. Although it’s cheaper than Canon’s, we’re talking a very small difference and I don’t see how it’s worth paying more for paper that has poor consistency. I wrote the company twice and explained my issue and they will not respond. Save your money and buy something else.
