I love that this is shiny stainless steel. This seems like quite a large pressure cooker: it only just fits into my dishwasher if I put it on the top rack and really shove it in, pushing down on the pressure cooker to get it in. Should have ordered the 4qt one instead as there are only two of us.

I purchased this item to replace my worn-out pressure cooker (different brand). I am surprised how lightweight the 6qt is; it is even lighter than my old 4qt stainless steel cooker.It cooks fast, and I am using less water than before. Quick clean-up! I have cooked stews, curries and Chinese foods in the cooker, with very good results.Presto packaged the cooker very neatly in a small carton. The only downside, was having to spend time assembling the unit. My two previous cookers went out of the box, onto the stove.The quick cooking time is the main reason that I have been cooking 80% of my meals in a pressure cooker for the last two decades.
