The Presto ProFry 12-Cup Deep Fryer offers 1,800-Watt of power to help you quickly achieve the ideal oil temperature for a variety of foods. The deep fryer uses oblong-shaped baskets to easily fit larger foods such as chicken or fish and features an adjustable thermostat for quick temperature controls. A signal light alerts you when the oil has reached your set temperature and the cover and filter add safety by helping to prevent spattering.

This deep fryer is verastlie and is a great investment. It is large enough to fry several pieces of catfish. I really like using both baskets at the same time to eliminate my childrens’ wait time for fries and chicken. I really liked that I could wash in insert.

The price and reviews were the attraction to this item. I have used it twice since I go it … both times do do Tempura — butterfly shrimp, onion rings and sweet potato. Since the batter is liquid it drips off but, if you don’t suspend the items in the grease for a period of time before you release them, they sink to the bottom and the liquid cooks around the baskets and often makes them impossible to retrieve. I guess it’s a leaning/teaching opportunity for me. I wish the oil basin was a bit deeper — the first time I used it I only filled it to the minimum level .. the 2nd time I maxed out the level of oil . . and I held the items in the grease for a while before i let them go . . . but they often cooked to the utensil I was using to suspend them. Double edged sword . . . learning and getting better!! Never used a fryer like this before.
