The deluxe nonstick surface, inside and out, makes it great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and entertaining. The tempered glass cover and stay-cool handle provide easy access and visibility. Plus, it’s more efficient to use than a range burner or oven. The big 16 in. heavy cast aluminum pan is virtually warp-proof. The Control Master heat control maintains the desired cooking temperature automatically. Skillet is fully immersible with the heat control removed.

All in all this electric skillet is a good appliance. I love the size. The only negative is the lid is not a heavy as I am accustomed to. I would feel better about the appliance in general if the lid was just a bit heavier. Cooks great. So far so good. Time will tell how long it lasts.

I bought this skillet for several reasons. I wanted to be able to cook outside on a covered patio so that the grease and fumes of cooking don’t mess up my stove-top and home interior. The fine print says not to use it outside, but I can think of no reason for that except to avoid getting it wet while plugged in, which will not be an issue for my situation. It is not overly heavy for the transporting needed to use it outside, especially if the lid is carried separately when needed. I have used it this way twice, so far, and it worked nicely, and cooked a stir-fry type meal quickly and with easy clean up of the cooking area. I also wanted to have a larger surface area for cooking, especially for guests, than my large cast iron skillet allows. This 16″ skillet has a very spacious area for cooking. The glass lid is sturdy and great for viewing progress of the cooking process without lifting the lid. The handle on the lid stays cool, and feels very comfortable and secure.There is no sticking on this non-stick surface. That said, it is electric, and I find it does not have the same strength of heat produced by gas flames under cast iron. Clean up of the pan is a breeze, so far, but I can see that over time the space between the bottom of the pan and the base may collect oil and be difficult to keep pristine, as the base is not meant to be removable. I found this product to be every bit as good as advertised.
