This Pro-Co Sound ProCat 5 10/100 Base-T Ethernet Cable is designed for touring sound and permanent installations. The design eliminates stiffness and striation found in other Cat 5 cables.
The EtherCon connection is a RJ-45 style connector designed for audio and video stage technology, DMX systems and harsh environments. The receptacles have a secure latching system. This is a feature not found on other RJ-45 receptacles. The cable comes complete with EtherCon male to male connectors.

Using this to connect two Behringer S16 digital stage boxes to an X32 mixer. Ver easy to connect, wrap and store, and the metal housing on each end is very sturdy.

Procat Ethercon cable is expensive, but is perfectly suited for mobile setups. It is very flexible, yet tough, and lays flat like microphone cable. I use it with a Midas M32C Rack Mixer and 32/16 Digital Stage Box for recording and FOH sound. I have longer cables on reels, but 25 and 50 lengths fit nicely in a small gig bag or case. Hard cables are supposed to have better transmission, but I have no problems with Procat-5 cable in runs up to 300.
