That is the express reason for this purchase.I am not disappointed. The broad base of the cup and the fit of the lid help in serving and preserving the freshness of my “creamer”.

Such a wonderful product for everything from mixing ingredients and storing foods likes soups, to chilling in the freezer to quickly cool down freshly collected milk or to separate fats from broths, etc. Solid construction. Wish they stacked a little so I could stack two to three inside one another, as I keep nine of these at a time! That’s how versatile they are! I would never even consider microwaving with the lids on, so not sure how that would work, but I don’t microwave plastic anyway … if you are going to microwave, I would recommend putting a dinner plate on the top if you are worried about splatter.

I like the versatile feature of this product, the ability to use it in the oven and food storage in the freezer. I like that it has a good fitting lid. I bought 3 and am very happy with it. Actually, I have already bought a Pampered Chef 2 qts batter bowl, but the bottom is not flat like this Pyrex measuring cup, which I like a whole lot better. So I put aside the Pampered Chef to save and give it for a present to somebody instead. Also, this Pyrex is much more affordable than Pampered Chef.
