The QEP 6 in. Locking Contour Gauge is a must have for your installation project. This gauge is ideal for going around pipes, round columns, conduits and irregularly shaped walls, eliminating the need to guess the dimensions of irregular shapes and wasting material. When cutting larger angles or curves, the contour gauge is designed to connect 2 of them together, allowing for coverage of larger areas. Quickly create a template for any shape by pressing the gauge against an object. Then, pull the lever to lock the contour gauge and copy the shape onto the surface to be cut with a China marker. The locking feature makes moving the gauge and tracing the shape simple.
- Easily forms around any shape for a precise template, reducing waste created when guessing the dimension of irregular shapes
- Locking feature holds patterns in place while tracing on any surface
- Durable plastic teeth will not rust or deform over time
- Great for marking precise cutouts in vinyl, wood, porcelain and ceramic tiles
- Lightweight and small profile for easy portability
- May be used for base molding, chair rails, crown molding and finishing door and window frames

It’s worth every penny and then some. Made the project much easier.

This worked great, helped us make some pretty intricate cuts.

Not wide enough or long enough for my needs, still workable but not ideal. The plastic probes near the ends bend slightly so there are some accuracy issues.

Works great. Used for floor tiles. Easy to use.

I am disappointed ; there is not a fluid movement in the contouring. Metal fingers [in lieu plastic] work better.

This is the perfect item for the guy who does project here and there. It is built well, but I wouldn’t recommend it for tight spaces. It would work perfect for doing the edges around a door frame

Likely need to learn to use it better but it would be nice if it was a little wider and longer so it could have picked up my 4 jogs in one cut. I had to go back to old school measurements as this wasn’t long and wide enough. For some very small cuts that aren’t as complex it would work but the point is to use it for the complex cuts which are usually at least 6 inches to capture the full space.
