Cuts great dry but wears out quick. I only cut 2 holes through porcelain tile before it started to wear down. Use of water helps last longer. As far as cutting it cuts clean and fairly quickly for the price

Let’s not forget your not buying a boring machine so don’t expect this to act like one. This is the second one of these I’ve had and used up the first after numerous jobs. I drilled a hole just yesterday on some softer clay tile, but have used it one porcelain. Three key points: Start the cut at just the slightest of angles or it will want to walk on you, and use water to keep down the dust. Start the cut before using a lubricant as you will lose the friction of the initial groove and then when started just a little. Remember this is not a commercial billion dollar bit so go slow. It will cut just as fast and it won’t be so hard on your body. As in all diamond coated blades/bits they are only made for a limited amount of cuts so you’re not buying a bit that you think should last forever but it will be cheaper than marking your pieces and taking them to a masonry. A better bit than others of it’s kind I have bought over the years.

It’s good to cut perfect but to start the hole it’s not that comfortable wieh it had a pilot but to help hold steady.

The hole works great either wet or dry, making easy work of drilling plumbing holes. I would recommend this home bit to anyone working with tiles.

This cut the tile nicely. Was easy to use did not get much bounce off the tile as I started the hole. Hopefully it will last only time will tell.

I spent an hour trying to drill a bunch of pilot holes / use a dremel to cut a hole in porcelein tile for a shower spout, but ultimately gave up and bought this thing which zipped through in 60 seconds.

I am a professional tile installer with 20 years of experience installing tile daily. I have tried just about ever tile tool on the market and thrown most in the trash. This is the only hole saw I have ever owned that not just works but lasts quite a while. When cared for and not overheated we get approx 20-30 holes through high quality porcelain floor tile. It can drill a hole through 3/8th thick vitrified in about 45 seconds. The trick is to rock the saw in an orbital motion as you cut and it will cut faster.

I can’t believe how smooth this product worked! It truly amazed me!!!It was like slicing butter. No cracks no breakages , just press very softly and let the tool do it’s job

This was easy too use. Just need too practice with it on some scrap pieces first. I would start at an angle and slowly move it to a straight position.
