With its extra wide, carbide grit surfaces, the QEP 1 in. x 7-3/4 in. Tile File is great for quick filing. The oversized file is perfect for smoothing the sharp edges of tile, or for making unique shapes. Equipped with a comfortable, cushion grip, the 1 in. x 7-3/4 in filing surfaces have two different grits on the opposing file faces; one smooth and one coarse. Smoothes and shapes marble, stone, ceramic and porcelain edges.

I was replacing the kitchen faucet and discovered the hole in my granite countertop was ever so slightly too small (about 1/16 inch). This file did the trick! Took me about 15 minutes with a little bit of water and the faucet fit. Excellent purchase!

I used this tile file on ceramic and marble tiles. It is a must have tool for tile jobs. It was perfect for cleaning up the edges on tiles cut with a wet saw. I had to cut some diamond shaped marble tiles into triangles. The file blunted the angle of the diamond enough that I could easily cut the tiles with a wet saw.

I use these for stone carving – after roughing the marble/limestone with chisels, I use one of these files to continue with the finishing. (I then follow it with diamond files and diamond polishing pads). Compared to how expensive some stone carving tools can get, these are a good deal.You need a soft wire brush to clean out the file on a regular basis (to retain its effectiveness).
