I used this to cut 10 holes through porcelain tile to install shower accessories. It was very easy to use and cut through in less than 30 seconds for each hole. I didn’t notice a difference in the effort needed between holes so it didn’t appear that the bit wore out. The water system worked well and kept the temps down which I believe really made a difference.

I worked for drilling six holes in porcelain tile for a grab bar. I kept a tile sponge below the drilling to absorb the water that overflows from the reservoir. I will need to buy more sealing pads if I need to drill additional holes, but I didn’t see any available. I drilled at a slow speed.

This was a simple and nearly foolproof method to drill ceramic bathroom tiles to mount a few accessories. The adhesive pads make starting the hole a breeze compared to the usual “start at an angle” routine for hole saws. Provided enough water in a fill-up to make a decent start, but in thick or heavy tile it might need several “stop & fill” events. Easy to use and constructed well enough to last a while, though maybe not a lifelong tool. The enclosed bit was good for one project, but I recommend have a high-quality bit on hand when the kit one goes dull.

The cooling drip system and drill guide are good ideas. I was most concerned about keeping the bit centered, and the guide system worked very well. Unfortunately six adhesive pads are a bit optimistic, as the abrasive wore off completely after only four holes in porcelain tile. Also, the water drains from the reservoir very quickly. Blocking off about half of the drain holes with tape slows it down to a reasonable drip. Recommended, but don’t expect to drill much more than four holes with this 1/4 in bit.

Complete set forDrilling holes in tile. Works great in porcelain tile which is very hard. Love the small drip box that sticks on the wall and keeps the bit cool!

Without a doubt this was the best tool I have ever purchased for tile, and I have purchased a lot. Yes you will run out of sticky pads, get someone to hold it. The bit cut through porcelain tile in less than 45 seconds … last hole took a few seconds longer. Anyone complaining must not follow instructions … this work as promised and for the price it over delivered.

I had 10 holes to drill in 3/8″ impervious porcelain tile with a glazed face. It took me maybe 2-3 minutes per hole of actual drilling. The idea is good but this is a cheap system that is really just enough to get you through. My Wife helped me by pouring water in the delivery cup while I drilled. The doubled backed tape didn’t really hold while getting wet. And the plastic sleeve the drill bit goes through don’t stay in place. I don’t regret this purchase because it’s cheap and it got it done. It is easier with two people.

10 holes and still going. The key to this one working must be the water. It goes through the water in the little cup fast, so have extra water on hand. I was drilling super hard porcelain that had eaten up four other bits and I didn’t think this would work any better so I bought 4 of them. I can take back the 3 unused ones. I spent more time replacing the stickies than I did drilling, it works!!!

it works but it is very slow

2 out the 5 we bought would not cut but Home depot replace them and we kept going on the job

I think the concept is good, but the quality is a different matter. The water container material is so thin, it easily cracks. The tape is not strong enough to hold the water container when drilling.

I Am a remodling contracter. This gadget is a simple tool to use , but go slow at first . You can use the circle cut out of the adhesive tape at the bottom of the plastic cup for extra grip, but don’t pull off the cup to fast when your finished drilling or you may crack the cup ( its Plastic).

I found this to be the most clever device I ever used. It was as if I had a mini tile cutter at the end of my drill. If you need to install a shower door where it is bolted into tile this was the perfect device to use.

Used it to drill through ceramic floor tile. It cut smoothly and quickly, just keep it wet while drilling.
