Description
The QEP Diamond Grit Tile File features a fine diamond coating on both sides to smooth the edges of all tile after cutting. It is compatible with ceramic, porcelain, glass and stone. The combination flat/round design smooths straight edges, as well as internal and external curves. This file also smooths other materials, such as laminate flooring and backer board.
- Ideal for smoothing tile edges during installation and may also be used to smooth other materials, including fiberglass, laminate flooring, cement board and carbon fiber
- High quality diamond bond strength maintains a tough grit surface for working with the hardest materials
- Co-molded plastic handle with non-slip, rubber grip for comfortable repeat use
- Flat side and round side for smoothing straight or curved edges
- Wipe clean when finished to prevent build up and maintain optimal performance
- Compatible with all tile types

A well made file that did what it was supposed to do. Pretty disappointed in Home Depot’s Masonry selection. Pretty bad when you have to custom make your own drill bit and extension just to cut a 1 1/2″ hole through concrete.

Best tool I have bought in a while. Far exceeded my expectations. I use it to remove chipping from edge of tile. Filing on a 45 degree angle I was able to remove chips as big as 1/32 and blend it with the rest of the edge with little effort. It won’t work well smoothing the edge of the base tile material; use a hand grinder with diamond wheel or belt sander.

Worked very well on porcelain tiles. Took some time to get the desired shape but that could be expected. Used it to smooth edges of tempered glass with great success too. Would recommend this to anyone needing to shape tiles. Tool seem durable. Used it for many jobs with no sign of wear or dulling.

This Tile File is excellent for filing down little bumps that may remain after a cut. The curved side is very useful for making smoothing out rounded corners. The saw is well designed and fits well in my hand with a ribbed non-slip rubber grip on the handle. Highly recommended to make small adjustments to a tile.

I had reserved feelings that this small file could actually do the job I needed. To my pleasant surprise it worked far better than I had hoped for. It would take off so much material from my porcelan tiles that i thought it was plugged, but a quick brush in water and it was again like new. I will recommend this file to friends and others.
