I have never used a braising pan before. We decided to cook some pork chops amd this cast iron pan was great. This pan is well made and heavy duty. Cooked our chops perfectly. We got the pan hot, seared the chops and put the whole pan in the oven to finish off. Awesome!

My favorite thing about this Rachel Ray Cast Iron Braiser Pan is I can start out cooking food on the stovetop and finish it in the oven without transferring the food from one pan to another. If my recipe baking temperture doesn’t exceed 350 degrees I can bake with the lid on, but if calls for a higher temperture up to 500 degrees it needs to be uncovered. This pan is very heavy duty and quality made, it has molded attached side handles, that are just wide enough that I can fit a thin pot holder through. The glass lid fits snug and has a plastic black knob that is attached very securely. I have used my pan numerous times strictly stovetop and also stovetop to oven with no disappointments. The only down side cast iron pans are hand washable only and that can be challenging if food is stuck on.

I love this cast iron braiser!!! I love that you can cook with it on the cooktop or in the oven. It is great for making some golabkis (stuffed cabbage) which u have to cook both on the oven top as well as in the oven. The gray color is great as it complements my other pots and pans very well. I hate having everything black so fits well with my set. It is a little heavy, as any cast iron, but I can use it in my workouts.

Fantastic pan. Cast iron but a sleeker look. I can tell it will last me. Convenient handles and lid that make cooking anything in it easy. Pops right in the oven and has very even heat distribution. I love it and highly recommend it for anyone looking at similar pans.

I Love this cast iron covered braiser. Food taste so much better when you can start it on the stove and finish it in the oven without changing pans. I highly recommend this pan!!

The gray shimmer color is beautiful. It is a very quality and heavy duty piece of cook wear and I believe it will lay for years. I really appreciate the glass lid and I also like that the inside enamel is black it almost seems like more of a seasoned cast iron than an enamel but either way it’s very durable.

Once I opened the box, my first impression was how beautiful this pan is and how I couldn’t wait to use it. It’s a very pretty shimmery enameled silver color with black enamel inside. The pan is a little on the heavier side, which is expected for cast iron. I made braised chicken breast with vegetables. When I braised the chicken it did stick a little but not enough to bother me. I then sauteed the potatoes, carrots and onions and added the stock and there was nothing stuck in the pan. I was able to put the pan in the oven, I had to cover with foil because the lid cannot go in the oven. It would be nice if it could for convenience and to ensure its covered properly. Food came out amazing in the cast iron. The cleanup was easy, I love that it doesnt need to be seasoned because it is enameled which is very convenient and a time saver. Bottom line, I love the pan and can’t wait to make more dishes in it.

I have been wanting a nice cast iron pan for a while. So when I got this I was excited. It cooks evenly. And is great to go from the stove top straight to the oven.I love this Braiser. The size is a plus especially when cooking for a large family. When I took it out of the box I was pleasantly surprised with the color it is beautiful.

This 3.5qt covered braider is very nice! Heavy and we’ll made. The enamel coating is pretty! I seared a roast in no time. It heated up evenly. My next dish will be a one pot chicken recipe that finishes in the oven. I am glad it has a lid because I will need it for the chicken recipe. I have to handwash but no big deal because it washes easily. Great addition to my cooking arsenal!

I bought this last week and absolutely love it. Sturdy and sleek. Perfect size for 2-4 people. I’m a professional chef and so happy I can add this to my collection, it will last a lifetime. I appreciated this because it’s not as heavy and easier for me to handle. if I need to bake higher than 350 degrees, I can cover with foil. Don’t hesitate to snatch this up. You won’t be sorry you did Pics: made pot roast stew. One is after I seared meat and started on the stove top. The other is finished stew, straight from the oven.

I love this braised. I was impressed with how substantial this piece of cookware is, it weighs about 5 pounds. I have used it about five times and It works great. The lid doesn’t fit exact unless you rotate it some then it has a perfect fit, maybe a slight defect in my unit otherwise I am extremely happy with it just the way it is. Will recommend it to all my friends.

I love cooking and baking with cast iron. This beautiful gray shimmer 3.5 quart braiser has quickly become my favorite for just about everything I cook. The quality is exceptional. What I love most about this pan is it’s nonstick and heats evenly. The handles on each side make it very easy to pick up the pan because the pan is heavy. The see thru glass lid makes this the perfect set. Whether cooking on the stove top or in the oven this pan is simply the best. Cleaning the pan is quick and easy. It proudly sits on my stove top ready for my next cooking adventure.

Well I am a sucker for anything Rachael Ray. This pan does not disappoint! It has an awesome finish on it and is super heavy as you would expect from a cast iron pan. I really like the gray color as opposed to her signature orange color, glad to have the gray option. Cooks nice, great quality!

This braiser is a true beauty! I mean it looked great in the pictures but they do not do it justice. The shimmer to it makes it such a nice piece that you want to clean your stove and leave it sitting out on top for everyone to see. But this lady isn’t just a looker, she is also a very good cooker! The first time I used it I cooked up some chicken and it came out looking gorgeous and the pan was super easy to clean afterwards. I love cast iron but it can be a pain sometimes trying to keep it properly seasoned, thats where the beauty of enamel cast iron comes in. You get all the pros of cooking with cast iron combined with the ease of being able to wipe the enamel clean and no need to season it. My kitchen now needs every piece in this collection!
