The gold mStand Laptop Stand from Rain Design lifts your notebook 6″, so you can have a better viewing experience. This stand is compatible with most MacBooks, MacBook Pros, and laptops that have a depth under 10.3″. It positions the laptop’s display to eye level, improving your posture. With a tilt design, it angles the computer’s keyboard so you can still see and have access to the keys. To keep your desk organized, a cable outlet is on board. Furthermore, the mStand is constructed from a single piece of aluminum, which acts as a heat sink to cool your computer.

Elegant stand that helps me sit up straight while working. The color matches the space gray on MacBooks which is nice as well. Grips keep the stand and computer from moving. No complaints.

This is perfect! It is so well made and matches my other products perfectly. It is solid and heavy.
Arno Moore (verified owner) –
Amazingly high quality. I love it.

I bought this for my M1 MBP. I use an external monitor, kb and mouse when I am at home. This is essentially a base for my MBP. Its made out of metal. Its sturdy-ish and aesthetic wise very apple. Works really well for videoconferencing. If typing with any significant pressure you will see and feel the metal flex and bounce as your typing. I guess I wish it was rock solid sturdy, but then it would have been really heavy. I dont know what the tear drop in the middle is for. The white cable management ring on the back is nice, but not necessary? Also wish that white circle was a darker color. Really stands out and not in a good way. Its still a great product. Dont mind my nitpicking. Even the packaging was great. But yeah that white ring on the back, change it to black 🙂

I was hesitant to spend this much on a stand for my 15 MacbookPro, but I was concerned about the heat generated when editing videos, and this stand acts as a heat sink. I also wanted to get my laptop up off the desk before I spilled something on it. The 1/8 thick anodized aluminum matches the Mac, and the overall quality, design and function looks like an Apple product. The height coincides perfectly with my 27 NEC monitor for a seamless 2-monitor work station.

I bought this for my laptop as I am WFH more and more. Stand is very stable but rubber pads do come off over time. Still a very good product.

I have a macbook pro 13.3 inch and it could not fit any better with the stand. The stand helped me alleviate my backpains from crunching down to see the screen. Now that I have this stand, I can save space on my desk and put the keyboard underneath which was a big factor for me. Highly recommend this people who want to elevate for ergonomic reasons, cooling and space efficiency reasons. Two thumbs up!

great looking stand that gives me the lift I need.

At first I did not want to spend the money for this stand being that there are so many other varieties of stands out there that cost less. The reason that I chose to make the purchase was because of the overall design. Now that I have it, I glad that I did. The stand is perfectly balanced for your laptop! The rubber feet keeps things in place without and sliding. When combined with your mac, it give you a real professional look. Great product!

Just now took it out of the box and put my laptop on it. I had assumed I would need a keyboard and mouse, but it’s actually quite steady! One reviewer had noted it shakes, and it does a little when I start typing vigorously, but with basic typing and use of the trackpad it feels quite sturdy enough that I’m not rushing out to get my keyboard anymore. It’s simple and elegant, though I don’t actually see much of it with my 15 MacBook on it. One downside is that it could be a little taller, or maybe my chair needs to be shorter, either way the stand is not adjustable so that’s why I give it 4 not 5 stars.

The mStand is brilliant. There are a lot of different stands out there, many of which I’ve tried, but none as great as this. The key difference between this stand and its competitors is that the mStand is made of a single piece of molded aluminum, where as all others I’ve seen are made of multiple parts. Being a single piece gives it MUCH more strength and stability. The mStand also keeps my Powerbook Pro cool even after hours of use as the aluminum actually draws heat away from the laptop and disperses it much better than air alone. The large space under the laptop that is now freed up is big enough to put my Intuos 5 (medium) drawing tablet, full size keyboard, mouse, and track pad when not in use. The height of the mStand puts my laptop dead center (vertically) with my Apple LED Display (27), and also makes viewing the screen MUCH more comfortable when I’m not using the monitor. I have NO complaints or cons. This product is exceptionally well designed.

Very nice; does what it should, and acts as a heat sink as well. I like the high lift to my laptop; easier to see details on the screen.

This is a solid stand physically and aesthetically. It puts your Macbook Pro at perfect eye level, and does not wobble. The Space Gray color looks great. The base is wide, perfect for standing your Macbook on a variety of surfaces. I use mine on my desk, laying in bed, on the couch, coffee table, etc. The five-star reviews were all right. Great price; worth every penny!

Keeps my laptop at the proper height to prevent neck pains while keeping the computer vented. Blends in well with the rest of the Apple gear. Very satisfied!

I like the angle – if I have to use the keys it makes things a bit easier.

I love it. Works like a gem. Well designed and quality construction. Not many features. If you need height or angle adjustment look elsewhere. I choose this for the clean look and sturdy construction. It’s the kind of thing you buy once and use for the rest of your life. It can be a tinsy bit bouncy if you’re typing on it. But faaaar less so than some competitors. The slim platform it rests on is excellent for tucking a keyboard or drawing tablet under for more desk space. The price imo is fair. You’re paying for design and quality of materials and construction. I’ve bought two, and I would buy another if needed.

I use the product on my desk with an external monitor. It keeps my posture great and it makes my laptop easier to use as my only machine.
Kyler Harvey (verified owner) –
Great, solid well made stand. Does what it supposed to do. Looks great and works well.
Fanny O’Hara (verified owner) –
The stand is of solid build quality and is secure in place. I have no worries even when using my standing desk. I would definitely purchase again in the future and recommend.

Sturdy one piece construction and simple design make this unit stand out. I recently got a MacBook for home use and realized immediately that it would be toast if I left it on my desk next to the ubiquitous coffee cup. This stand lifts the computer out of harms way, puts the screen at eye level, and is an elegant match for Apple’s unibody machines. Coupled with a bluetooth keyboard, and perhaps a wireless mouse, this makes an awfully nice office set-up.
