The gold mStand Laptop Stand from Rain Design lifts your notebook 6″, so you can have a better viewing experience. This stand is compatible with most MacBooks, MacBook Pros, and laptops that have a depth under 10.3″. It positions the laptop’s display to eye level, improving your posture. With a tilt design, it angles the computer’s keyboard so you can still see and have access to the keys. To keep your desk organized, a cable outlet is on board. Furthermore, the mStand is constructed from a single piece of aluminum, which acts as a heat sink to cool your computer.

I have always wanted to use the m stand at home but felt that it was too expensive and that it would be of limited use since it can’t be adjusted. How wrong I was! The angle my laptop sits is perfect and matches with my external display height wise. I use it everyday for my coding work and it is excellent. I have no qualms about leaving my computer on it, and since it is being elevated, the stand has given me a small decrease in my laptop’s idle temperature. The only thing I don’t like about the stand is that I can’t find anything bad to say about it. This is a superb product and I recommend it greatly!

I mean, I guess the headline kinda spoiled the review, but I love this thing! My girlfriend has the same one, and I used to think she was pretty lame for having it. Until I switched jobs, and found myself working 100% off a laptop, never seated in ergonomically correct situations. I was hunching over worse than ever, and my wrists started hurting. So I borrowed her laptop stand for a couple days, while working at home, and noticed IMMEDIATE improvement. But why THIS stand? Solid aluminum construction, for one. It’s got a tiny bit of give, because of the shape, which is really great while typing for long periods. It’s Aesthetically pleasing. Matches the MacBook Pro aluminum casing perfectly, and has a cord management hole in the back. It’s odd U-shape provides a place to keep my Time Machine hard drive, not only hidden, but up off my desk in case of accidental spills! A life-saver! I think I’ll stop glowing now. Point is, it’s a solid item for the price. If I had to give 1 con, it’d be that it’s tough to store, since it’s one piece. It just has to sorta sit on your desk. But I’m ok with that.

Okay, it’s a lot of money for a bent piece of aluminum, but it’s well designed, VERY rugged and looks great. Have them on all of our docked laptops on desks.

Gorgeous, matches my macbook pro nicely. Super stable and solid, no complaints. I use this to use the laptop as a second monitor next to the 27 Apple Cinema Display. It sits roughly in the middle height wise, works out well.

I bought 2 of these stands: one for my 17 MacBook Pro and one for my old Compaq R3000Z. The stands do a great job and keep me from looking down at a 45-degree angle, which was getting uncomfortable. Very well-made. I might get a couple more of these.

It is perfect! I use my Lenovo T61 which has a 15.6 screen and it sits just right. My initial concern before I used it was the effort to type on the keyboard. However, the keyboard angle and height could not have been any better. Great Design!!!
