The Yoke Clamp Mount with Universal X-Grip II Holder from RAM MOUNTS consists of a yoke clamp base, double socket arm system and a universal spring loaded X-Grip II holder for 7″ tablets. The spring loaded X-Grip II holder expands and contracts, allowing for a custom fit for your 7″ tablet.
The yoke clamp base will fit rails from 0.625″ to a maximum of 1.25″. The 1″ rubber ball is positioned at a right angle to the plane of the mount; when connected to a rail, the ball sits parallel to the rail. Designed into the mount is a 1″ diameter patented rubber ball and socket system with adjustment points at the both ends of the socket arm; this with a twist of the arm knob, allows you can move the mount to your optimum viewing position.

I bought this product to hold my ipad mini on the yoke of my airplane. The problem I’ve had is that so many holders and mounts require a naked ipad, but I use heavy duty cases like LifeProof. What I really like about this mount is that is truly can flex to fit ipads in cases. And it’s very rugged. I just finished using it on a 5 hour flight.
