The first aid kit is in a hard plastic case, which is good for most storage uses. We are using the kits in earthquake preparedness backpacks (we call them Go-Kits). After the Big One, there should be plenty of supplies for minor first aid requirements for a family, plus some extra ones to help your neighbors who will probably also need help. There are no medications in the kit, which is why we liked it, because kids might get access without supervision. Also, the meds expire in only a few years, while the first aid supplies are good forever (we ignore the expirations). The kit is priced the best out of the ones we searched for. I recommend this product for anyone looking to put the basics into a survival kit or camping kit. It is not light weight, though, so probably not ideal for backpacking.

This is a very nice First Aid Kit. Many of the products inside are FDA approved, and many have official labeling and markings. The 37 page Emergency Guide booklet is very thorough, including CPR instructions, clear photos and could very well be a lifesaver. It is an American Red Cross Guide and itself is worth having. Everything in the kit seems high quality and the bandages are cloth not plastic or vinyl.The case even has a rubber o-ring seal to keep the contents clean and dry. Because it’s made in China I couldn’t give it 5 stars, but that’s probably why it’s so affordable.
