Its too light I would think to bust a window but I didn’t try. I did try the cutter on a old seat belt and worked easy enough. Its not the best but it works.

Good quality, very reasonably priced. However, I find the most used emergency tools are an air compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter and a set of jumper cables. Those should be your top priority.

I bought five for various members of my family. I checked different sources before buying, and Home Depo seemed to have the best price for what you get with the seat belt cutter and window breaker, plus being a smaller size. Hopefully we will never have to use them; therefore, I am unable to rate.

Exactly as described. I purchased one for my son & myself for peace of mind. I pray we NEVER have to use it. It has a hammer head on both sides making it really nice. I’m pretty sure if that fateful day comes, you’ll be in panic mode & every precious moment will count. I lightly hit my hand to get a feel for the hammer & I must admit it would have REALLY hurt if I added more force. So I’m assuming with full strike mode it’s gonna get your out of your sinking vehicle. It has a nice feature to cut the seatbelt which is TOTALLY safe & inaccessible. I actually tried to reach in & touch the blade with my finger & was unable to do it. It even comes with a mount to place it on the wall. Although it should be in your car. But hey, to each his own. Such a small price to pay for peace of mind.

At first I was confused about how the window hammer worked. I kept squeezing the handle and nothing happened. Then it hit me. It’s a hammer! Just whack the window glass! This is a true story…now it meets my expectations. It is a necessary tool.
