The Easy Step gate hits all the criteria with an all-steel construction, installs quickly by either pressure mount or wall mount and is adjustable to accommodate door openings between 29 in. to 34 in. or 35 in. to 38.5 in.

This gate is just what i needed with 5 kids and 2 dogs to keep them out of my kitchen!! Upon pulling out of the box it was easy to set up and put together and the instructions easy to follow. This gate is definitely the best baby gate I have, and I have 5 others, all different brands. I love that its a metal tension rod, as compared to wood or plastic. My favorite feature is that it has plastic pieces you screw into the wall with a plate piece to prevent the tension rods from slipping or being pushed forward by your baby. There’s nothing at all that I dislike about it, I am 100% satisfied with this baby gate and will be recommending it to all my mom friends and they can see it for themselves when they come over for a play date.

I currently have a 6 and 5 year old not to mention an 18 month old and I’m due in 10 weeks with my final child. It has taken me three kids to realize that there is a better option than those annoying baby gates that you set up in the doorway and then push down to secure it and you have to step over it. This is so much easier and everything that you need is included in the box. Once you have the setup it’s extremely secure and it comes with the rubber stoppers for the wall in case you don’t have a door jam to shove it up against so it makes the gate sturdy enough even my Great Dane can jump up on the gate and it won’t fall down. Its holding up perfectly to my 18 month old too. By far the best gate i have owned yet.

I used this gate for my infant’s bedroom. It comes needing to put together, which looks more complicated than it is. I love how it comes with an extension piece so you can use the gate in multiple sized spaces.The gate does not need to be screwed into the wall, which is important to me because I don’t want to cause permanent damage to the walls. It did take a few tries to make sure it was completely sturdy and screwed in; the baby knocked it over after the first initial screw in. (So make sure it’s sturdy!)The locking mechanism on the top of the gate seems to get stuck sometimes. This makes it hard for me to even open it. Over all, the baby gate gets the job done but I wish the gate was easier to open and close.
