Designed for use with the RIDGID OO-R Ratchet and Handle Assembly, the RIDGID OO-R Alloy Die Head comes with 1/2 in. manual dies and a capacity for cutting clean, precise threads in mere seconds. This is the tool you want for quick, efficient pipe threading. The convenient, factory set 12R RIDGID die head is built for longevity and creates an American Standard National Pipe Thread (NPT) seal that is ideal when cutting threads for mechanical, low-pressure air or fluid applications. The super-efficient OO-R model produces exacting right-hand directional threads on metal pipes that measure up to 1/2 in. NPS, creating clean 14 TPI.

Very pleased, question: can or has anyone ever put the dies in the opposite direction? I have a situation where the pipe I am threading has an obstacle not allowing threader to complete its cut completely.

If you need to thread pipe, Rigid pipe threaders are the product to use.This thread cutter works exactly like it does at the plant.Cuts threads better than pipe that is already threaded.Buying those threader sets from those cheap places is a mistake.

Although, the die is of excellent quality, I had to send it back. This did not fit my older style hand, made by Ridgid. Had size dimensions been available, I would have realized that it was too small for my handle. Home Depot was very good about accepting my return.
