Designed for use with the RIDGID OO-R Ratchet and Handle Assembly, the RIDGID OO-R Alloy Die Head comes with 1 in. manual dies for cutting clean, precise threads. This is the tool you want for quick, efficient pipe threading. The convenient, factory set 12R RIDGID die head is built for longevity and creates an American Standard National Pipe Thread (NPT) seal that is ideal when cutting threads for mechanical, low-pressure air or fluid applications. The super-efficient OO-R model produces exacting right-hand directional threads on metal pipes that measure up to 1 in. NPS, creating clean 11-1/2 TPI.

Rigid makes some of the best plumbing tools around. I bought this die along with the 1/2″ and 3/4″ at HD. The 1″ threads needed set prior to using, just listen the face screws and screw onto known good threaded fitting then tighten the screws on the die. The smaller dies were perfect from the factory, would be 5 stars if it was set from the factory.

Very pleased, question: can or has anyone ever put the dies in the opposite direction? I have a situation where the pipe I am threading has an obstacle not allowing threader to complete its cut completely.
