Great product. Use it constantly to mill boards for furniture. Blades are easy to change. It works well no matter what wood is run through it. This is the second planer of the same model I have purchased. It performs very well and I’ve been pretty hard on them. The only concern/complaint that I have is that hardware is constantly coming loose from the vibration. Securing the planer helps, somewhat.

Some people are stating that this advertised item does not fit a certain model planer.HD writes, “Yes, the AC20502 will fit the 4331 planer.If you click the picture of this item, and blow it up, the package shows a model number of AC20501 on the lower left of package.Maybe the confusion here is the 20501 blades will not fit the 4331 planer. HD states the 20502 will fit the 4331. Make sure that your package shows 20502 for the 4331. If the blades you ordered and received are 20501, maybe that is why they don’t fit.HD…is the correct product being advertised here?

The older models the thickness dial tends to wonder with an extra thick cut or when the blades get a bit dull. You want the newest model with the thickness dial lock.

I used this planer to plane down a rough cut 6′ 4″x4″. I was worried at first I might need to help it feed through, but this planer pulled it through without any struggle. The rough cut lumber came out very smooth. It has been great for me and seems to be well constructed. I think this machine will last me a long time.

Very concerned that I purchased a “Home Depot” exclusive product that no longer offers purchasing blades in-store. What an inconvenience to be in the middle of a project that is time sensitive and be left hung out to dry…..
